Job Title: Tool Machinist

Job Description

Join one of the largest medical device manufacturers as a Toolmaker in a direct hire position. This role involves designing, assembling, and troubleshooting parts or tools required for production and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, assemble, and troubleshoot parts or tools required for production and testing.
• Use precision measuring devices to fabricate parts, and build prototypes and tooling for production equipment per instructions and specifications.
• Set up and operate CNC and Manual tool room equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering and internal/external designers to improve final product and tooling.
• Maintain accurate, neat, and complete records for the tool room and assure new tools are properly numbered with maintained inventory levels.
• Ensure tool room equipment and other major shop equipment are maintained regularly per procedures.
• Understand engineering objectives and design intent, providing feedback.
• Resolve tooling-related issues on the production floor.
• Participate in cross-training activities and assist with training of new hires and temporary staff.
• Follow set training programs for the position and ensure training requirements are up to date.
• Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain a clean and safe work area.

• Mechanical inclination is beneficial, especially when working with machines.

This is a Permanent position based out of Vadnais Heights, MN.

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $83000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

- Monthly production bonus up to 4% of salary - 401(k) plan, with a matching contribution from Heraeus- Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance- Life Insurance company paid- Short and Long-term disability- Paid Parental Leave- 2 weeks Sick pay- 2 Weeks of PTO- Very nice facility with very nice lunch/break room with a market on site where they can purchase food, snacks and drinks - Once a month, they do a $500 Safety drawing for all employees (Including contractors) for people who demonstrate the best safety practices on the floor - They do free ice cream usually once a month for all employees (contractors too!)- They have walking trails all around so on breaks or lunch, people can utilize them if they want too- Once a year, they have a shoe truck come on site for full time employees and they can purchase steel toed or safety shoes for discounted rates

This is a fully onsite position in Vadnais Heights,MN.
